Weird and inappropriate attention given to the chests of women is a tale as old as time… from Anne Boleyn to Britney Spears.

Why did women of the Tudor era wear fashions that flattened their chests? Why was the style for Medieval women and Tudor women to be flat chested? There were even poems about flat chests and weird rituals to try and keep them nice and flat and perky, warnings to teen girls to not grow them large… as if they had any say over how their mammary glands grew.

In another bizarre obsession with a teen girl's chest, we’re taking a look at the cringy Britney Spears interview with Ivo Niehe when she was just 17 years old. It wasn’t good then, a couple decades later this interview aged like vomit. While everything about the interview was repulsive, watching the young Britney handle this wildly inappropriate questioning was a treat.

This isn’t our typical episode format, I sit down with Jeremy, relationship coach and my husband of 20+ years, to chat about a story from the reddit subthread “AITA.” I read him this Reddit story where one redditor wants to know if she’s wrong to get the reduction of her dreams when her husband doesn’t want her to. That’s not all though, he seems supportive and encouraging and even asks to go to her doctor’s appointment with her but once there he launches a full betrayal and is anything but supportive.

Jeremy and I do relationship coaching together, meeting virtually with clients all around the world to support them in determining realistic goals that serve their relationship purpose and developing practical strategies for reaching those goals. I met Jan West in my front yard when she was there to show prospective buyers the house I rented. It was terrifying. Our landlord’s agent, Jan, was essentially there to sell our home out from under us. Instead, she helped us find a solid agent to represent us, helped us figure out how to buy our home ourselves, and when I told her I was thinking about starting a podcast all about chesty experiences because everyone has stories of life with a chest, she agreed, saying she had a story or two of her own. AND DID SHE EVER!

I’ve been dying to share her stories ever since! Jan joined me in the blanket fort to record a handful of her stories including one of her most embarrassing moments ever and that time she was arrested. The murder of Christina Ann-Thompson Harris, part 1.

Ok, we know we’re not a true crime podcast, honest. But this is relevant, promise.

Did she even get to see the finished product before her execution? Once again, we're spilling the tea on some of the titillating legends of Marie Antoinette and her famous breasts.

In Boobs in the News we’re going back to 2014 in a tragic story that spans a decade. We’re not a true crime podcast but this boob crime story is one we had to get off our chest. On September 29, 2014, tragedy struck when a neighbor found Christy Harris, or Christina Ann-Thompson Harris, cold to the touch in her bed after Christy’s husband asked the neighbor to go check on his wife when she wasn’t responding to him. This loving, dedicated, breastfeeding mother never expected to go to bed that night and not wake up to care for her 2 young children. What happened? Did she really die of natural causes? Was it an accident that just didn’t make sense? Or was there something more? We have a LOT to say about this and complete admiration for the family that honors Christy’s memory by not giving up their fight for justice. From the November 2022 20/20 Episode “Cold to the Touch” and the 2024 appeal, the story of Christy’s death is more than drugs and betrayal, it is love, family, dedication, and breastmilk. Meet Christy and her family in part 1 of this two part telling over two episodes.
