For The Love Of Cycling is exactly what it sounds like. Four people obsessed with cycling. Ned Boulting has spent decades narrating the drama from the commentary box, bringing the stories of the peloton to life, spotting the moments others miss and putting words to the madness. David Millar knows that madness better than most. A former pro who raced at the very top and brings a sharp, unfiltered view of how the sport really works. Pete Kennaugh brings the view from inside the bunch, a former Team Sky road captain who’s ridden through the chaos of Grand Tours and come out the other side with the kind of insight you only get from being there. And Lizzie Deignan adds world-class insight from the women’s peloton, with the experience of a champion who’s raced, won, and helped shape the sport. Between them, they’ve lived cycling from just about every angle. They’ll take you into the heart of the biggest (and smallest) races. Not just what happened, but what it felt like. The atmosphere at the start line, the tension in the bunch, the strange, brilliant, exhausting rhythm of the road. It’s as much about the stories and the people of the sport as it is the results.8f46aed0-4eb4-11f1-9aca-8f95c3745e2c

  • Could Tadej Pogacar have stayed with Paul Seixas at Il Lombardia?
    Oct 13 2026
Paul Seixas has solidified himself as one of the biggest talents in cycling with a stunning victory at Il Lombardia, but just how good is the young Frenchman, and is it too early to start comparing him to Tadej Pogačar? Ned Boulting and David Millar break down the final Monument of the season, a brutal 239km route from Bergamo to Como with around 4,600 metres of climbing. With a succession of climbs building towards the decisive finale, including the legendary Madonna del Ghisallo and the steep ascent of Civiglio, Lombardia once again delivers a race that rewards the strongest climbers and punishes anyone who gets it wrong. The main story is Seixas, who produced a phenomenal ride to win by 48 seconds from Enric Mas, with Giulio Ciccone third. His decisive attack came on the Civiglio, where he dropped his rivals and rode solo to the finish. At just 20 years old, he becomes the youngest winner in the history of the race, and makes a statement that is difficult to ignore. We get into just how much better Seixas looked than the rest, the maturity and strength behind his performance, and what this victory tells us about his potential. With Pogačar absent after his Vuelta crash, we also ask the obvious question: if Pogačar had been on the start line, could anyone have stayed with Seixas? And are we watching the emergence of the one rider capable of challenging cycling's dominant force over the coming years? Plus, we look at the rides from Mas, Ciccone and Remco Evenepoel, how the race unfolded across the climbs, and what this year's Lombardia tells us as the professional road season draws to a close. Il Lombardia might be the final Monument of the year, but Seixas has given us plenty to think about for the next one. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
