On 3rd October, 1937-The Silver Theatre premiered on CBS radio with 'First Love', a four-part series starring Rosalind Russell as Jean Wilson, Jimmy Stewart as Jimmy Parks, and with Conrad Nagel billed as narrator. It tells the story of a young actress, Jean, struggling to make it in Hollywood when she meets publicity man, Jimmy. Although their first meeting is rough, Jimmy decides to take Jean on as a "project", to make her a star and falls in love with her. However, his methods conflict with Jean's honesty, and conflict arises.
