Fans Without Credentials is a Michigan-focused sports podcast built for casual fans who love their teams but don’t pretend to be experts. Hosted by two proudly unqualified, non-athletic fans, (and a former coach to keep us straight) the show pokes elitist gatekeeping, overcooked analytics culture, and anyone who thinks fandom requires credentials.

The Aim

To create a Michigan sports podcast where casual fans feel welcome, elitist gatekeeping is mocked, and nobody has to lie about having played at a high level.

Talent(ish)

Jared Stayman: Had dreams to play for the Celtics but plays a pretty good cello.
Tom Clementson: Career benchwarmer, enthusiastic instigator, professional watcher of sports.

Eric Huffman: Former girls basketball coach, named coach of the year once upon a time...because every group needs supervision.

Tom brings up his beef with the shade thrown Michigan's way after a historic season culminates in a national title. They speculate on what's next in East Lansing and share some totally unoriginal ideas for Tom Izzo. Them the boys lament another lost season in Hockeytown.
