• Jonathan Merritt: The Translator
    Apr 9 2020

Jonathan Merritt is an award-winning journalist. He helps me understand what’s really going on when religion and the news come together and his role as a translator between culture, religion and society. His perspective is unique and offers him the chance to critique religion as much as translate it. We explore why sacred language matters for understanding each other and the world.

You can find out more about Jonathan Merritt at JonathanMerritt.com, on Twitter and Instagram.
His book, Learning to Speak God from Scratch is worth a read.

Thanks for coming on this journey into faith in the time of Corona. There is still so much that is unknownnd there are still stories to be told about how our world will change, how we will adapt. The news is really capturing history as it happens, as well as our response to it.  If our collective but diverse faith and spirituality can provide a tradition and ritual that helps, as well as insights for how we move forward, then that’s newsworthy, because ultimately they are human stories. They are all our stories.
