In the Kingdom of Heaven, mercy is not merely a soft feeling—it is power in action.

In this devotional reflection on Matthew 5:7, we explore what it means to live out the "blessedness" of a merciful heart in a world that operates on different values.

Jesus Christ systematically dismantles our worldly understanding of power and strength. He shows us that the Kingdom of God advances not through dominance or self-sufficiency, but through the humble acknowledgment of our own spiritual poverty. When we recognize our desperate need for God’s grace, we are transformed into conduits of that same mercy to others.

In this video, we discuss:

- The profound inversion of the Beatitudes: Why the poor in spirit are the ones equipped to show true mercy. - The difference between pity (a distant observation of suffering) and biblical mercy (getting our hands dirty in the work of healing). - How to move from the internal recognition of our need to the external ministry of binding up the world’s wounds.

- The "stunning circuit" of Matthew 5:7: We can only offer a cup of grace because we have first been filled by the Holy Spirit. Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:7 — “Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.”
