• Vision
    Jan 18 2026

    Prov. 29:11; 2 Cor. 5:17-20; Acts 2:32; Heb. 11:6

Vision deals with the future and what we can imagine together. Imagination isn’t just fantasy novels and art classes. Faith is the act of imagination.

In an article from Christianity Today, entitled, “Can You Imagine? – Why Imagination is Crucial to the Christian Life,” says, “If reason changes our hearts…touching the imagination can inspire us with a vision of God’s reality that will compel us to act.”

Having a vision of what the future can look like is important because it can inspire you to reach deeper than you ever have to fulfill the vision. A life or a church without vision is a life or church that is missing something important. No vision equals no direction as well as no excitement for what the future holds. The bigger the picture for us as a church is to have a growing, healthy and thriving church that is seeing all these things fulfilled in every person’s life.

  • Mission
    Jan 11 2026

    Mark 2:15-1; Luke 19:9-10; John 4:23-24, 14:6; Matt. 28:19-20

This is where you live out the teachings of Jesus in your everyday life with others you come into contact with. It means taking the life, teaching and attitude of Jesus to as many as you can get the message to that you live and work around. It will require taking up your cross for others. Knowing the mission and living it out is completely different. This mission gets played out in lots of diverse ways, but the message always remains the same. Mission is something you do as a Christ follower, until your life is over.

  • Purpose
    Jan 4 2026

    Gen. 11:6; Ex. 33:14-17; Matt. 22:34-39; Col. 4:5-6; Eph. 1:8-12

Always knowing why you are here is critical to knowing what your DNA looks like. Every person is existing with three huge endeavors here at Fairfield. We want to exist to live DEVOTED TO JESUS, PASSIONATE FOR PEOPLE, and COMMITTED TO SERVING AND LOVING OUR NEIGHBOR. Living out this purpose requires daily practice on our parts for it to become habitual and lived out without even thinking about it.

In essence, our message must be Jesus, our heart must be people, our identity must be servant leadership, and our pursuit must do it all with passion.

  • How to Endure in the Wilderness Longer?
    Dec 28 2025

Isaiah 54:2-5; John 15:1-8(Brian). When you go to the woods, you, you quickly learn what you need to do to survive. Shelter is critical for lasting and endurance is key to it all. Remaining in a place to continue to grow helps as well. Once you listen to the lies of “Just Quit,” survival begins to slow down.

Once again, God’s precious word, helps us all to discover what we need to grow and stay connected. By doing so, you don’t just live longer, so do those who come under your care. As we finish a year and begin another, what will keep you, and those around you, in the place of endurance? Stretching and Remaining!

  • Given - The Indescribable Gift
    Dec 21 2025

2 Cor. 9:15; John 4:10; Rom. 5:15; 6:23; 11:29; Eph. 2:8; 2 Tim.1:6 –(Brian) - Let’s be honest. Some people will open their gifts this Christmas and be disappointed. They’ll pretend to be happy when they’re not.

On the other hand, sometimes you receive gifts that you don’t appreciate at the moment, but they grow more valuable to you over time.

The gift God has given to us, the gift of eternal life the Bible calls “the indescribable gift,” only gets more precious over time.

God gives you a life worth living on this earth. The delivery room opens up new life for everyone. Jesus came that you might have life in all of its fullness. Yes, it is the promise of life after death—and what a glorious promise that is. But it’s also the promise of life during life. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 NLT).

The gift is not merely an item but the very Son of God, who gave up immense glory to come to Earth, a sacrifice beyond comprehension. The gift is given not out of obligation but out of overwhelming love and grace, even to those who are God's enemies. And that is what we’re really longing for. We’re not longing for Christmas but Christ, not merriment but the Messiah, not goodwill but God Himself, not presents but His presence in our lives.

  • Only Begotten – One of a kind
    Dec 7 2025

John 1:14; 3:16-18; Heb. 11:17; 1 John 4:9 – (Brian) Jesus is God’s “one and only” Son. God gave His only begotten Son. That is what happened in the birth of Jesus Christ. But you must believe that He gave him for you. Never was there a giving like this giving. In that word “gave” is poured all the wonders of grace. We should read it this way: “God so loved the world that he gave over his only begotten Son.” He did not loan His Son. He did not dismiss His Son for a little while with no definite purpose. But He gave Him over, He gave Him up. He consigned Him to a specific place. He sent Him for a clearly chosen purpose. He gave Him over for us. He sent Him into our place, to assume the place of judgment for our sins. Christmas day is the celebration of the love of God.

Christmas is the great and everlasting celebration of the unconditional love of God. That is what we must make this day. God found it in His heart to love us, to draw us to Himself that we might be with Him. God longed for us with a longing that could not rest until we were brought unto the highest good. God in love sought us and He found us.
