Weekend at Bernie’s (1989) is a dark comedy classic where two low-level insurance employees, Larry and Richard, uncover a financial fraud and earn an invite to their boss Bernie’s luxurious beach house. But when they arrive, they find Bernie dead—murdered by the mob to cover up his own embezzlement. Instead of reporting it, the duo decides to pretend Bernie’s still alive to avoid suspicion and enjoy the weekend. Cue sunglasses, puppet-like antics, and a hitman who keeps trying to finish the job. It’s absurd, morbid, and hilariously unforgettable.
