On this episode of the Damaged Ones Podcast, once again, controversy is all over town, this time for the WNBA. Commissioner Cathy Engelbert now must have a meeting to determine what a "woman" is after two trans athletes, former NBA stars Enes Kanter & Royce White, are applying for the 2027 WNBA Draft. Yes, you heard that right. Mike Garcia & co-host Sarah now speaks on it and gives their POV.
Now the pressure is on for the WNBA and see what they will allow or accept. Is this a mockery for every female playing in women's sports and we have truly learned nothing from the Lia Thomas situation? Will the WNBA succumb to peer pressure from the LGBTQ community? And if they do allow the athletes to compete, will that create a floodgate for all female sports moving forward? What of the viewership numbers, possibly driving people away?
