This episode explores Kazan Yamaoka - the Oni - one of Dead by Daylight's most lore-rich killers and the fearsome ancestor whose legacy echoes all the way through to the Spirit.
Lemon digs deep into Kazan's story, from a proud samurai lineage he was desperate to protect, to the brutal crusade against false samurai that slowly transformed him into the very monster people named him. The episode also traces the remarkable connection between the Oni and the Spirit, with the two Yamaoka killers sharing a bloodline, a realm, and even the same blade.
Dogbomb then breaks down the Oni's power, Yamaoka's Wrath - the blood orb system, Blood Fury, Demon Dash and Demon Strike - and why he rewards aggressive, committed play above almost anything else. He also covers the Oni's perks - Blood Echo, Nemesis, and Zanshin Tactics - and a handful of builds for different playstyles.
The episode also touches on tomes closing in January, the DBD forum shutting down at the end of October, and the ongoing community cosmetic contest and the AI controversy surrounding it.
