Speech and language acquisition go hand-in-hand. Often, as young parents, we tend to keep a close watch on the developmental milestones of an infant and, more often than not, we forget to track speech and language acquisition milestones of the child. Zainab Millwala, a Speech and Language Pathologist explains in great detail the processes involved in speech and language acquisition and what happens when a child misses those milestones.
Founder Director of The Speech Care Clinic, THOTH Solution and Services-MDC, Zainab Millwala, is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. She works with children and adults with speech-language and communication disorders. Her areas of expertise include:
- Assessments and intervention of paediatric feeding disorders
- Use of Oral Placement Therapy and PROMPT techniques for speech and feeding intervention
- Use of story-telling and play-based intervention for dealing with communication and social language deficits in children
- Assessment and intervention for fluency disorders in adults, teens and children
