Traveler Fritz takes his secret mission to the next level, bringing modern technology and satellite intelligence into the middle of the Second Boer War. As British forces begin destroying farms and homes to weaken the Boer resistance, Fritz secretly works with Boer leaders Louis Botha, Christiaan de Wet, and Koos de la Rey to create the hidden Field Secret Agency (FSA).
With help from his Russian partner, Michael Vorkov, Fritz secretly brings modern aircraft, night-vision equipment, and powerful hidden weapons into South Africa. Attacks on British supply ships leave sailors terrified and confused. With no idea who is behind the attacks, many begin blaming the mysterious Tokoloshe.
On land, Fritz takes a different approach. Instead of killing British soldiers, he uses a special gas that leaves them confused and unable to fight. Under cover of darkness, his forces then move in and take control of important railway forts and supply points.
But Fritz's actions are beginning to change far more than the war in South Africa. Events in Europe, including the unexpected death of the Prince of Wales, show just how far these changes are spreading.
For the first time, Fritz realizes that changing history may come with consequences he never imagined.
