The louder you get about your health, the louder the noise gets. Every expert has the answer, every feed is full of reels, and half of them contradict each other.
In this episode: the cardiologist visit that changed everything. November 2023 — my blood work was off and the recommendation was a statin. I asked about changing my diet instead. He told me carnivore would be "seriously detrimental to your health." I did it anyway. Thirty pounds in a month, blood work essentially perfect a year later, cholesterol down 90 points, off the blood pressure pills I'd been on for years — and the same doctor looked at me and said, "I was wrong."
I also get into the algorithm — how Instagram started curating my health education for me, why I had to get intentional about who I follow, and the stat that floored me: doctors get less than 20 hours of nutrition training in four years of medical school.
Clean eating, for me, wasn't about going extreme. It was about getting regimented, cutting the obvious garbage, and learning to question everything — what I put in my body and what I put in my head.
If you've ever felt caught between what the experts say and what your own body is telling you, this one's for you.
