Schlichter, who is a Bloomingburg native and former Ohio State and NFL quarterback, is perhaps best known for throwing the decisive interception in the 1978 Gator Bowl. In the aftermath of that interception, Coach Woody Hayes was fired for punching Clemson linebacker Charlie Bauman in the. But that’s not what we’re here for.
