Slowly, tears start to run down his cheeks from his hidden eyes. A dark, rich, purple liquid that stains his skin and grey shirt as they fall, and his gaze drifts to Cassidy sleeping beside him. "Don't look at her, look at me. Speak."
Angus does as he’s told. He ignores the way he feels watched and instead gives in to exhaustion as more indigo tears stream down his face. He lets his eyes shut and he just speaks, saying everything he knows to be true. He talks of sparkling, sword wielding vengeance, glistening, gilded fealty, and swirling, unending, relentless darkness.
