Do you hear that coven? It's the gales of November. And we know from the beautiful poetry of Gordon Lightfoot's musical storytelling that the gales are indeed bad news, especially when they arrive early. If you haven't yet guessed it, this week we are covering the tragic tale of the Edmund Fitzgerald. On November 9th, 1975, the great lakes freighter left Wisconsin bound for a steel mill near Detroit, but she would never reach her destination. This week, on the 50th anniversary of the tragedy, we'll cover her ill-fated journey. We'll also share some good news and end the episode with a multitude of good things. Join us as we travel back in time and dig a little deeper into this very powerful story.
