This episode 1 covers the trial and case of the Menedez Brothers (Erik & Lyle) who were sentenced to life in prison after they killed both of their parents. We also raise the question of whether they should be allowed another look at their case because their "justification" for the murders was that their father brutally sexually abused them and their mother allowed it and that they couldn't take the pain anymore. Should they have been put into a rehabilitation center? All that and more in episode one.
