Despite having them around in her life peripherally growing up, Jess has not really seen a lot of westerns. Matt figured that, if they were going to watch a western for the podcast, it should be a fun time. It doesn't hurt that it stars Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Katherine Ross all in their...*ahem* late 60's prime. Did "throuples" exist in the old west?
Don't worry, that topic will be discussed, along with a variety of ways that the film subverts tropes and starts a few of its own, the way the visuals and sounds tell their story, fast-talking criminals, and why you should never risk your life stopping men from robbing your train. (Poor Woodcock...) Prepare to have 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' stuck in your brain, Jess may never get it out of hers!
