Paul John Knowles, often referred to as "The Casanova Killer," is one of the most infamous serial killers in American history, whose charm and good looks allowed him to commit a series of gruesome murders across the United States in 1974. Born in Florida in 1946, Knowles' life was one marked by early neglect, a troubled childhood, and a pattern of criminal behavior that escalated over time. His killing spree, which lasted for several months, left at least 18 confirmed victims, though some estimates suggest the number could be as high as 35. Knowles’ case is particularly terrifying because of his unpredictability; his victims came from all walks of life, including men, women, and children, making his motives appear to be driven purely by a desire for control and chaos.
