A proposito di questo titolo

In this episode, I talk honestly about how our identity can slowly become wrapped up in caregiving when you are parenting a child with disabilities. I wrestle with the question many of us quietly ask: Who would I be if my life looked different? and, more importantly, Who does God say I am right now?

We look at Scripture, including John 3:1 and Galatians 4:7, to ground our identity as children of God-not defined by roles, productivity, or survival mode. I share my own story of feeling a call to ministry long before becoming a mom, and how that calling didn’t disappear after diagnosis, even when it felt buried under advocacy, exhaustion, and constant need.

I also talk candidly about what self-care really looks like as a special needs parent, the reality of burnout, and why practices like Sabbath can feel almost impossible. As a new year approaches and resolutions are everywhere, we explore redefining productivity and purpose in this season, especially when you are constantly pouring out and rarely poured into.

We close by reflecting on the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10, and what Jesus’ words reveal about presence, worth, and choosing what is better-without guilt or shame.

This episode is for the parent who feels lost, tired, and unsure of who they are beyond caregiving, and needs a reminder that God still sees them, calls them, and loves them deeply.
