This week, Robert and Kyle return to discuss common sayings and folksy advice that people often give to parents. Jeepers, most of these are terrible. How many of these topics have you heard?
1. Cutting Gums/Rubbing Whiskey on Gums
2. Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child/Kids just need a good spanking
3. Let the baby cry it out - Comforting a baby spoils them
4. Boys should play with boy toys / Girls should play with girl toys
5. Don't Intervene—Let Kids 'Fight It Out' Themselves
6. If your kid is hitting or biting others – hit or bite them back
7. Just ignore them when they're having a tantrum—they're just seeking attention
8. If they aren't talking/walking (Hitting certain milestones) by [X exact month], something is wrong—They should be tested immediately
9. They have to learn the hard way
10. Sleep When the Baby Sleeps
11. Breastfeed...OR ELSE
