But it isn’t just any other story - it is perhaps the most widely known and talked about mountaineering disappearances in history, where nine young Russian hikers embarked on what was supposed to be a challenging but fun hiking expedition in the northern Ural Mountains of the then Soviet Union.
An expedition that was filled with hope and aspirations but turned deadly in a matter of seconds.
