In this episode of Life According to Rick, I’m joined by my wife, Julez, for a conversation about what marriage really looks like while raising a threenager.
We talk about how our relationship has changed since having Harlem, finding time for each other when life is already nonstop, date nights, parenting styles, communication, marriage counseling, and why sometimes sitting on the couch together in silence is enough.
We also get into the importance of actually making an effort to stay connected—whether that means going out, planning a day date while the kid is at school, or turning the living room into your own little date night when the village isn't available.
And of course… we had to talk about whether we're having another baby. 👀😂
No marriage advice. No pretending we have it all figured out. Just me and my wife talking about what we're learning, what we're working on, and what it's like trying to keep our marriage strong while raising a threenager.
Because marriage doesn't die when the kids come.
