Ed Gein was one of the most infamous American killers, his crimes were so gruesome and horrific that they became the real-life inspiration for horror movies like Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
In 1957, searching for missing hardware store owner Bernice Worden, police in Plainfield, Wisconsin, came across one of the most disturbing crime scenes in modern history, cementing Ed Gein's legacy as a grotesque, terrifying monster.
In part 1 of this series, we introduced you to the strange, sad, and abusive childhood of Ed Gein, his domineering mother Augusta, alcoholic father George, and older brother Henry. That set the scene for part 2, where we get into his actual crimes, the grave robbing, the skin suit, and so many more disturbing facts.
