Listen as Becky and I chat about how she coped with the loss of her father in her early twenties, and about her successful career in drama teaching.
Rebecca is a drama facilitator and LAMDA examiner, with a background in drama therapy, performance and SEND teaching.
She teaches drama skills and the LAMDA exam syllabus to a wide range of ages, abilities and needs from 4+ - 76+. Her groups are completely inclusive and the schools motto is ‘Building confidence having fun’.
Becky also leads drama workshops in schools and colleges and directs plays performed at a range of local theatres, Including a Shakespeare play, a community Christmas production and a LAMDA exam showcase each year. For the past 3 years her youth group have participated in the NT connections festival.
Becca also can be seen treading the boards each year, recent parts she has played include Mistress Alice Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Dolly in The Mirror Cracks, Vera in stepping out and Lady Anne in Richard 3rd.
Rebecca is a keen BSL signer and is working towards becoming an interpreter for theatre productions.
