Situational Awareness: is the understanding of an environment, elements, and how the environment can change in regard to time or space. With the understanding of their meaning, and the prediction of their status in the near future.
Today we have our friend Yuri Boiarsky back and he and I are talking about Situational Awareness as far as what it is and what it is not. There are many misconceptions of what Situational Awareness is and hopefully Yuri and I will answer some of your questions or dispel some of the myths that you have heard.
Yuri Boiarsky has been doing Krav Maga for 40 years and is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga through KAMI Krav Maga Association which is the largest Krav Maga association in Isreal. Yuri is an IDF Combat Veteran and is an instructor and the director of international Krav Maga operations at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College.
