Ep 11: Bookish Events - You're All on a PIP!!

Book event tea has been piping hot and the season has barely begun! We've decided bookish events will be on a PIP (performance improvement plan) starting today! We'll reevaluate at the end of the quarter, but let's start with a few points to address:
- Start small - if you aren't familiar with events, don't go crazy!
- Communication is key - send emails fam...not everyone will catch your IG stories
- Protect your people - far too many incidences of SA or harassment have been occurring lately that is UNACCEPTABLE and it is your job to hire security and have strict rules/policies
- Welcome everyone - don't be ableist! Make sure your venues are ADA compliant
Listen, we all want to have a good time at these events, so don't do stupid stuff, okay? The last thing we want is for these events to go away because no one trusts the organizers anymore. We can have a good time without ruining other people's good times.
Do better!!!!
