-Way-too-early projections are obviously wrong a lot in big ways, but you’d be hard-pressed to find many Husker fans or anyone in

general who has much optimism about the year ahead or how things are going here

-On3’s rankings listed a Top 25 and then 12 more teams receiving votes---none including Nebraska. Thank goodness for Nebrasketball

because things seem really uncomfortable when discussing the state of the football program.

-FanDuel updated their odds for the national championship and has Michigan as the favorite at 4/1, followed by Arizona at 5/1 (did

they beat BYU last night??)….and where might Nebraska be??

-Nebraska is at 40/1 odds, essentially 17 th in the country in odds (which still is awesome historically….but not for this team).

-Tonight at 6pm on Peacock, Nebraska will face their toughest challenge yet in a season that has featured many great wins and no

losses yet---can the undefeated magic stay alive in what could be a raucous crowd in Ann Arbor?

-Wisconsin had one of the more impressive wins of the season when they won at Michigan a few weeks ago, and they still barely won

in playing nearly perfect offensive basketball in the 2 nd half. Can Nebraska get Rienk Mast going and keep Pryce Sandfort hot?

-Final thoughts on what to expect in today’s AP poll for hoops and any Huskers making the trip to Ann Arbor tomorrow?

-We tracked last year’s portal entrants, and one player had outstanding success (Princewill Umanmielen at Ole Miss)….but otherwise

the results were hit-or-miss

-Davis joins a Miami defense that is losing some ELITE talent to the draft…could he be a starter for Mario Cristobal’s squad?

-The Huskers sit on top of the B1G with a 9-0 record and 20-0 overall record, but Michigan is 8-1 and welcomes in a Nebraska team that

hasn’t lost since the final game of the regular season last March---to Iowa (and Pryce Sandfort!)

-Dusty May’s squad tore apart the country the first 1.5 months of the year, and despite only having one loss—they have come back to

the field with closer games recently…6pm tomorrow on Peacock (a network that has been good for basketball luck for the Huskers in

recent years)…any chance of a Braden Frager return? Also….a White Out is in play next Sunday for Nebraska/Illinois at PBA

-Former Falcons head coach and former Titans/Steelers OC Arthur Smith is heading to Columbus to be the Buckeyes’ OC next year, with

Brian Hartline moving on as the head coach at South Florida

-Also, another coaching move---Mike McCarthy is replacing Mike Tomlin to be the head coach of the Steelers…good fit?
