While Puss in Boots sounds like a fun animated kids movie, it actually dives deep into dark territory. Plenty of people have commented on the brilliance of it as a movie, and it's depiction of the character of Death, but what the movie is presenting is actually a profound picture of how people relate to death and gets us to ask many questions. Do we all laugh at the face of death? Is it worth chasing after our desires if we end up alone? What is worth fighting for in this life? What does any of this have to do with Jesus?
