A proposito di questo titolo
This episode is an important one, and it jumped the line for a few reasons:
My guest, Myrka Zambrano Sánchez, works with MN Immigrant Rights Action Committee (mirac).
She shares the experiences she’s had over the last few weeks, acting as emcee at a protest after the death of Renee Good, and supporting her neighbors through mutual aid and organizing while Minneapolis is under occupation by federal agents.
This episode is not inflammatory, discouraging, or meant to inflate the sadness we have felt in the last few weeks and months.
This episode is a celebration of how the community has been coming together, a reminder of how important it is to contribute in a way that is true to yourself, and how to keep showing up for your neighbors.
While it’s one of my more serious episodes, I hope you find comfort in hearing Myrka’s and my own experiences.
Link to Mpls Mutual Aid is in my bio - for more information on how to keep showing up.
