Following the breeze-arrow beyond the stream bend, Lila reaches an old orchard where petals drift in moonlight around a crescent-shaped stone basin. After gentle, out-of-order attempts politely fail, she aligns the keys in sequence—Singing Bridge rhythm (Music), pond-like stillness (Light), three soft thank-yous (Fragrance)—and seals it with kind reading of the firefly sentence: "When the moon is whole, gather gently." The basin accepts the falling petals and fills a first thin, glowing segment, forming a Petalclock that will advance night by night toward the full moon. Neat apple-core stacks, small pawprints, faint claw-mark glyphs, and a quiet hum underfoot foreshadow a Wise Badger who keeps the orchard's secrets. Lila records everything and heads home, "keeping time" as the moon grows toward wholeness.
