A proposito di questo titolo
In this out-of-turn episode ahead of the new season of Busting Buzzwords, Clara and Ben reflect on ways of speaking about and giving an Acknowledgement of Country in Australia in ways that are both respectful and truthful to them as educators at The University of Sydney. Rather than relying on pre-formulated phrases, the hosts, who are both migrants to Australia, explore how to find their own words, acknowledge Country with honesty that is meaningful to oneself and to the truth of Country we all live, walk, and work on, and recognise the living significance of Indigenous sovereignty.
This conversation cites Shelley Reys's TEDxSydney "Deliver an Acknowledgement of Country that really means something". It is available on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxo18_7BDt4
From the video description: "Shelley Reys AO is a Djiribul woman of far north Queensland, Australia, and a respected Indigenous specialist, strategist and service provider. Shelley has been a leader in the reconciliation space for 30 years and as CEO of Arrilla Indigenous Consulting, has been helping the Australian workforce to work in the Indigenous space with greater skill and confidence. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community."
