This week and weekend recap features some great High School baseball that I witnessed live from the 12 inning high school baseball game in New Braunfels and the Westlake HS baseball tourney. Saw some electric arms pumping 97-98 mph, and saw a Waxahatchie team put up an 18 spot with some bombs.

Recapping the Bobcats for the week vs. Baylor and the Mora and Manny show rolls on with a couple appearances from Freshman Jackson Cotton, and Tanner Carson. Dawson Park started to crush and kept it rolling through the weekend.

'Free 90's Killed the Kat's' is starting to become a forgettable meme. Cost us 2 games and was close to costing us a 3rd but the Kats had a big come back in the 8th.

nUTSAck game is this week so I shared a story about that and how it changed the direction of my pitching career, shout out to my old roommate Jeff M. and a UTSA legend Ryan Arrevolos. Enjoy!

I decided to do the damn thing and here we go! I did a roster recap of the Mighty Niagara Purple Eagles, who surprisingly have made a Regional appearance more often than Texas State. They played a 2024 NCAA regional vs. Ok State and then bowed out to Nebraska but this is all the love I will give them on this episode. I get to fondly remember a great grief giver from when I played college baseball and give him a little shout out as I go down the abundance of bio information that the Eagles have supplied. This is a short one, but a blast with some 14u AAA youth baseball references from #33 on the Eagles and a bunch of Canadian players.

Chase Mora, Rashawn Galloway, Jaquae Stewart, Ethan Farris, Dawson Park, Zack Gingrich, Manny Solis, Jackson Cotton, Austin Mungia, and many more! Pitchers Alec Beversdorf, Zay Gutierrez, Ryan Marquart, Kyle Froelich, and Jesus Tovar. The season looks great and its a good mix of existing rostered players, transfers from DII powerhouses, and Juco players.

This is the introduction to the Baseball After Dark Podcast were I introduce myself, my topics, and my career experiences from college and professional baseball from the seat of a player, and a coach. This episode goes into some of the why I am taking this on, and some stories from college baseball that I want to share. I will also be covering a D1 team in the pod the Texas State Bobcats, who are in their last year in the Sunbelt. The school will transfer to the Pac-12 next season but before they go there is some unfinished business to take care of in the Sunbelt.

I will also cover some of the guests that I plan on having on the Pod, and some of their great stories also. Should be a fun and exciting pod that I will try and always keep under 30 min.
