    Feb 19 2026
In Episode 25 of Dr. Krystal’s Podcast: Inspiring Sacred Stories, Dr. Krystal Kinnunen sits down with Cat Matlock, a trigger point therapist and trauma-informed yoga therapist with over 30 years of experience helping people get out of pain and reclaim their lives. Cat shares a powerful sacred story from the beginning of COVID, when she left a deeply difficult relationship and faced betrayal, grief, and isolation. Instead of staying stuck, she chose to look inward, uncover the root patterns behind her relationships, and begin the healing work of reparenting, somatic release, and ending the cycle of rumination. Together, Dr. Krystal and Cat explore how stress and trauma live in the body, how chronic pain can be connected to protective patterns in the nervous system, and how healing becomes possible when we learn to sit with difficult emotions without getting trapped in anger or resentment. Cat also offers a simple, practical reset you can use anytime you feel activated: shake, gently self-soothe, and breathe with a longer exhale to return to steadiness and an open heart. 🎧 If you are navigating stress, anxiety, pain, or emotional recovery, this conversation is for you.
