The Falcon tells the group that a mysterious client has requested the key to the waterworks. Initially suspecting this was some lowlife wanting ransom, Falcon did not give it much mind. However, his sources now tell him it may be one of the town's richest benefactors, Gerwin Reuter. This has left him uneasy as it is now clear that coin is not the motive. Worried for the integrity of the water supply he drinks from, the crime boss returns the stolen goods to the party and sends them on a quest to retrieve the key.

Hew and Tall Robert dock the Tragedy in the port town of Jute's Landing for provisions where they find a street performance taking place. A small boy of about 10 or 11 begins pickpocketing the townsfolk and make off with the party's gold. Hew tries to give chase but the boy disappears. After concluding the necessary business of obtaining new boots for Jarl, the group must make their way down to the sewers in the hopes of retrieving the stolen loot.

The Conclusion of the Descent Into Mirefen Campaign! Milroy wakes from his near-death experience and wonders whether his interaction with Targun was all a dream. Upon the group's arrival back at Shigguk village, Oltex is taken into custody and delivered to the high chancellor of Karah am Saar to answer for her crimes. Sha Kalthes spots the second sigil on Milroy's chest and thinks Milroy is posing as the subject of a centuries old prophecy: the one marked by two gods shall stand against Cyugatha. After Milroy explains his "dream" of meeting with Targun on the celestial plane, Sha Kalthes suggests seeking the other two members of the Jade Three. Scylla-Mae promises to help Milroy see his quest through to the end. Sha Kalthes orders the sober-by-force Brand to accompany them in their travels.
