Do the Simple Thing

In this episode, Bruce reflects on the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5:1–14.
Naaman came to Elisha expecting a dramatic miracle, but God’s instruction was simple: go and wash in the Jordan seven times. At first, Naaman nearly missed his healing because the instruction seemed too ordinary.
Bruce reminds us that sometimes our expectations can become an obstacle to what God wants to do in our lives.
This devotional invites you to ask, “Lord, what is the simple thing You are asking me to do?” It may not be dramatic, and no one else may see it, but one ordinary act of obedience can become the place where God begins something new.
