Four fishermen were doing what fishermen do — casting nets, mending nets, thinking about the next catch. Then Jesus walked by and said two words that changed everything: "Follow me."

In Matthew 4:18-22, Jesus calls Simon Peter, Andrew, James, and John before they understand where this is going, before they feel ready, before they've proven anything. He doesn't wait for a resume — He simply invites them into relationship with Himself. And "immediately" — no hesitation, no negotiation — they leave their nets, their boat, even their father, and follow. That same call still reaches ordinary people here in Doral, Miami, Miami Gardens, Hialeah, and across South Florida today.

Is God being too kind? A prophet gets exactly the outcome he prayed for — and it makes him furious. Not because God failed him, but because God showed mercy to people Jonah never wanted forgiven.

In the final chapter of Jonah, the story takes an unexpected turn: after Nineveh repents and God relents from judgment, Jonah — the very man who just watched an entire city turn to the Lord — sits down outside the walls and sulks.
