  • Ep. 104: The Vancouver Stanley Cup Riot
    Apr 23 2026

There's a right and wrong way to riot, everyone.

In this one, Ian and Liv talk about a riot that broke out in Vancouver after the 2011 Stanley Cup finals. And it's confirmed to be a fact, that the best way to mentally process your team's loss, is destroying the city in which they're based. Hashtag sarcasm.

Also, Liv's high school math teacher is dead. Ian fantasizes about being placed under house arrest.

  • Ep. 103: The Viking Sky Cruise Nightmare
    Apr 16 2026

    Dangerously close to danger.

In this one, Ian & Liv talk about a cruise from 2019 that got turned upside down (almost literally) when the ship lost power mid-cruise in rough seas. The rescue efforts were daunting, passengers were injured, the grand piano was damaged, but the snow grotto was unharmed.

Also, Liv faces her fear of cruises. Ian loses all creativity.

  • Ep. 102: North Sentinel Island: Violence, Audacity, and Coconuts
    Apr 9 2026

Coconuts have a shockingly high street value.

In this one, Ian and Liv talk about an island off the coast of India where the inhabitants have remain completely uncontacted by the rest of the world, and have defended their island with primitive violence for the last 200 years. Despite local laws prohibiting island interaction, people (yes, plural) have tempted their fate on North Sentinel Island.

Also, Ian comes up with a new podcast idea. Liv redefines dating.

  • Ep. 101: The Carrington Event Solar Storm
    Apr 2 2026

    Season 10 is here!

In this one, Ian and Liv talk about a cosmic anomaly where the Sun launched a solar storm of magnetism and plasma that blasted the Earth in 1859. The result? Wild auroras and electrical malfunction across the planet. Was it the end of times, or just regular times? Spoiler: it was both and neither.

Also, Liv wishes the Earth would lose power. Ian quotes Charlie the Unicorn.

  • Ep. 99: The Annihilation of the Lucy Walker Steamboat
    Feb 26 2026

Bacon can kill you in vast number of ways.

In this one, Ian and Liv revisit the first episode of Disaster Hour: THE one and only Lucy Walker Steamboat, and, of course, her devastating explosion on the Ohio River. Steam engine technology was unregulated, the engineers had no formal training, and alcohol was in the air. Surely, nothing can wrong, right? Well, it can, and don't call me "Shirley."

Also, Ian holds a grudge against a former coworker. Liv reminisces on growing up with an Italian mother.

  • Ep. 98: The Aldgate Death Pump
    Feb 6 2026

Water cleanliness and proper sanitation are non-negotiables.

In this one, Ian and Liv take it back to the 1800s, where a public water pump was a vessel of disease for the working class folks of London. Cholera, typhoid fever, dysentery, and a myriad of other bacterial diseases were spreading like wild fire, and it wouldn't be a true 1800's nightmare without the Men in Charge of All the Things (London Chapter) denying the claims of the scientists.

Also, Liv starts a new band. Ian begins panicking over moving in two weeks.
