  • Episode 44: Gun Lovers Of America
    Oct 26 2026

Anthony bought a Glock, won a $200 knife, and somehow, that's not even the craziest part of this episode.

This week on Dial Tone, we're all over the place, and honestly, that's nothing new. We kick things off with Anthony's first gun purchase at a North Carolina gun range, a charity raffle win, and a conversation about guns, American pride, and why we can't seem to agree on anything.

Things only get better from there. We take a trip down memory lane with some absolutely ridiculous stories about getting way too high, surviving shifts at Circle K, and trying to act normal around family on Christmas Eve. Somewhere along the way, we get into growing up, parenting, work-life balance, losing your phone, and the realization that being an adult is actually pretty damn weird.

Of course, no Dial Tone episode would be complete without us arguing about absolutely nothing, completely derailing conversations, and questioning how we've managed to make it 44 episodes without figuring this whole podcast thing out.

Just two friends talking shit, telling stories, and seeing where the conversation takes us. Welcome back to Dial Tone.

  • Episode 43: MARSHMALLOW
    Oct 19 2026

Episode 43 of the Dial Tone Podcast starts with a simple trip to Target and somehow ends up covering homemade showers, Circle K employment, bird watching, near-death hypotheticals, life-changing decisions, and how far this podcast has come since episode one.

Taco and Ant debate proper friend etiquette in public, the dangers of working from home, whether Taco should ever be trusted to build his own shower, and some of the strangest hypothetical questions we’ve asked yet. Things get a little more serious when we talk about pivotal moments in life, getting clean, and how the decisions that seem like the worst ones at the time can completely change where you end up.

We also look back at starting Dial Tone, recording our first episode, earning our first few cents from the podcast, hitting 43 episodes, and why we’d still want to keep doing this for years even if nobody listened.

Basically, it’s another hour of two friends trying to have a normal conversation and failing almost immediately.

  • Episode 42: The Re Return
    Oct 12 2026

Episode 42 starts off strong when we realize we just recorded half an episode without the camera actually recording. So naturally, we run the whole thing back and somehow make it even more unhinged the second time.

Ant recaps shooting his first wedding in a while, a last minute Lensrentals disaster that somehow turned into great customer service, and the feeling of stepping back behind the camera after being away from it. That turns into a bigger conversation about photography, creative confidence, making mistakes, and realizing that even photographers like Peter McKinnon still get nervous when it actually matters.

From there, we get into an upcoming photography trip to Kentucky, why the Atlanta airport is hell on earth, rediscovering how useful libraries actually are, getting back into reading with an e-reader and Libby, Dan Brown, modding a Nintendo 3DS, Pokémon, post-surgery life, and way more information about bowel movements than anybody asked for.

Basically, a normal episode of Dial Tone.

  • Episode 41: Oktober Fest Pt. 2
    Oct 5 2026

Episode 41 is Oktoberfest Part Two, and somehow a hardware store redemption arc turns into a full conversation about local art, small businesses, photography, creative ideas, and the comeback of downtown Jacksonville, NC.

We break down our haul from Downtown Oktoberfest, shout out some of the local artists and vendors we met, talk about why supporting local actually matters, and pitch everything from a Jacksonville coffee shop hop to a pop-up photo booth. Then we get into the very real problem of having too many creative ideas and not enough execution, before completely losing the plot over photography terminology, “cacophony,” and Taco’s ongoing battle with the English language.

Forty-one episodes in and somehow we’re still here. Shop local, support artists, and enjoy the chaos.

  • Episode 40: Oktober Fest
    Sep 28 2026

Episode 40 of the Dial Tone Podcast is here, and somehow a simple trip to the hardware store turns into a full blown battle over a window screen.

Ant breaks down his latest post hospital recovery, the struggle to sleep normally again, and an absolutely ridiculous customer service experience that may or may not continue into the next episode. From there, we get into chess, trying to actually get good at something after hundreds of days of playing, Magic: The Gathering, modding old gaming systems, cutting back on social media, e-readers, owning your digital books, and why getting a library card might actually be the move.

We’re also heading to Oktoberfest in Jacksonville, North Carolina right after recording, which means Episode 41 could be a completely different situation.

Another normal episode of Dial Tone. Somehow.

  • Episode 39: First Day Out
    Sep 21 2026

Anthony is finally out of the hospital, and this week on the Dial Tone Podcast, we’re getting the full story.

What started as severe stomach pain turned into an ER visit, emergency surgery, a week-long hospital stay, an NG tube from hell, days without food or water, and enough pain medication to make Anthony understand why people enjoy narcotics a little too much. Taco fills in the parts Anthony barely remembers, including what happened before surgery, conversations with the surgeon, and watching his friend get a tube shoved through his nose and into his stomach.

We get into the strange experience of going under anesthesia for the first time, finally being allowed to eat again, hospital bills, recovery after abdominal surgery, and the moment a single fart became one of the biggest accomplishments of Anthony’s life.

Of course, this is still Dial Tone, so the conversation eventually spirals into spending hundreds of dollars on coffee equipment from a hospital bed, homemade coffee setups, an obsession with houseplants, working from home, negotiating for lockers on Facebook Marketplace, and Taco revealing that he once practiced counting backward before surgery because he wanted to wake up and finish the countdown.

It’s a chaotic return episode filled with hospital stories, dark humor, friendship, recovery, surgery stories, anesthesia, questionable decisions, and the kind of conversations that could only happen on Dial Tone.

  • Episode 37: Tweety Bird
    Sep 7 2026

Episode 37 is here, and somehow both of us ended up in South Carolina at the same time without seeing each other.

Anthony spent the week in Greenville, South Carolina, working out of a suspiciously nice coworking space, surviving a questionable Airbnb, drinking way too much coffee, eating his way through Greenville, and catching a minor league baseball game. Meanwhile, Taco made his own trip to Charleston, South Carolina, and gives us an update on life, family, and his ongoing semi retirement.

From there, we get into why coming home hits different, making your space actually feel like yours, Ted Lasso, The Sopranos, overrated TV shows, abandoned gas stations, old payphones, minor league baseball, genetics, future kids, and the usual conversations that somehow make perfect sense to us.

    Another week, another Dial Tone.
