    Apr 27 2026

On June 27, 2004, 30 year old April Pitzer was last seen in Newberry Springs, California, after telling loved ones she was preparing to come back home to Arkansas. She had been terrified for her life and was desperate to return, but she never made it back.

In the months that followed, investigators received a series of strange and unsettling tips, including one involving a message written on a truck stop bathroom wall hundreds of miles away that appeared to reference her disappearance.

Investigators eventually determined April was likely murdered. But more than 20 years later, no one has been charged, and her family is still searching for answers, her remains, and the person responsible.

  • 133: MURDER: The Fisher Family
    Apr 20 2026

On April 10, 2001, an explosion tore through a Scottsdale, Arizona home, sending flames into the air and shaking the surrounding neighborhood.

Inside, investigators discovered a devastating scene. 38-year-old Mary Fisher and her two children, Brittney and Bobby, had been killed in their own beds, and the evidence showed they were murdered before the fire ever began.

The scene had been carefully staged, with accelerants, a disconnected gas line, and ignition devices used in an attempt to destroy everything inside. But one person was missing - Mary’s husband, and the children’s father, Robert Fisher.

More than 25 years later, Robert has never been found, and investigators are still working to find him.

If you have any information in this case, or you think you’ve seen Robert, you should call the Phoenix FBI Field Office at (623) 466-1999 or go to tips.fbi.gov. A $100,000 reward is being offered.

  • 132: MURDER: Oakey "Al" Kite Jr.
    Apr 13 2026

On May 24, 2004, co-workers of 53 year old Oakey Albert Kite Jr., who went by Al, drove to his house to check on him after he failed to show up to work - something he had never done before.

Inside his Aurora, Colorado townhome, officers discovered a horrific scene. Al had been bound, tortured for hours, and killed in his own basement.

The killer cleaned up, removed key evidence, and disappeared - leaving behind only a small amount of DNA and a trail that pointed to a man who wasn’t who he claimed to be.

More than 20 years later, Al’s murder remains unsolved, and detectives are still working to identify the person responsible.

Anyone with information in Al’s case is asked to call the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or your local FBI office. There is a $2,000 reward for information.
