On this episode, I had a conversation, Brian Simpson. Brian Simpson is the Senior Project Manager at RBA. Mike has experience design woof framed multifamily structures.
We discussed the difference of the architectural design phases from SD, DD, CD to Concept Phase typically used as a rezoning study, timing of the design process, different design consultants involve in the design process, and timing of the building permit approval process as it relates to the to the CD phase. On the second part of the interview, we discussed the difference construction types and why Type V (wood framed construction) is so popular in multifamily in the southeast of United Stated.
