Join us in this fascinating interview of Dr. Nicholas Brownstone as we discuss his journey from plastic surgery residency to dermatology research fellowships to dermatology residency as well as dive into talking about delusions of parasitosis!

Dr. Brownstone is currently a dermatology resident at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Cornell University with a BA in psychology then completed medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Before switching to a career in dermatology, Dr. Brownstone began his medical career as a plastic and reconstructive surgery resident in New York, completing over 3 years of surgical training.

He then completed two dermatology research fellowships— one at UCSF in psoriasis, phototherapy, and clinical research—and another at Mount Sinai in melanoma and skin cancer, prior to matching into dermatology residency.

Dr. Brownstone is the host of Cutaneous Miscellaneous podcast and host of Under Your Skin and Dermbusters. He has authored over 100 peer reviewed articles and multiple book chapters as well as serving as lead editor for multiple books on dermatology topics.
