Danny has over 20 years of experience writing about music for publications such as The Pitch, The New Times, The Kansas City Star, and Rap and Rock Confidential. He is also the author of two books about music, including one about the band Soul Asylum and another about singer Mary J. Blige. In this episode, Danny discusses his career in music journalism, his passion for teaching, and his love of music. He also shares some of his favorite memories from his years covering the Kansas City music scene.
