    Cleveland beat Chicago 9-5 to force Game 5 of the AL Division Series Saturday. The Guardians scored six runs in the sixth after both teams combined for 15 pitchers, 18 hits and 15 walks. Game recap


    Baseball America named Detroit Tigers shortstop Kevin McGonigle its 2026 Rookie of the Year. He hit .278 with 18 homers, 28 doubles and 97 walks, reaching base 266 times, the third-highest total in MLB history for a player 21 or younger. Full story

    A’ja Wilson won her record fifth MVP, becoming the first player to win three consecutive seasons. She received 65 of 74 first-place votes and averaged 26.2 points per game. Her Las Vegas Aces face an 0-2 semifinal deficit against Golden State. Full story

    Tampa Bay beat Dallas 24-16 for its first win of the season. Undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels threw for 189 yards and a touchdown in his first start, while Bucky Irving rushed for 165 yards and scored twice. Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards but was intercepted twice. Full story
