  • How Far Will the Vancouver Canucks Sell Off Go?
    Jan 21 2026

Welcome to Daily Faceoff Live with Tyler Yaremchuk and Steve Peters!

We start the show with Olympic injury watch as both Darcy Kuemper and Anthony Cirelli left their games with injuries. Zach Hyman and Seth Jarvis highlight the potential replacements for the Lightning forward. Sweden looks to be operating on the assumption of two key players missing the tournament and two USA snubs had big nights in wins for their respective teams.

The Eastern Conference playoffs could have several new teams come April. Five teams that made the dance last season are currently on the outside looking in. Which of Toronto, New Jersey, Florida, Washington, or Ottawa would be the biggest failure if they don’t make it this year?

Youth seems to be trumping experience out West when it comes to the wildcard push with Utah, San Jose, and Anaheim all riding hot stretches to start the new year. Which of these three teams do the guys have the most faith in this season?

Winnipeg, Nashville, and St. Louis have all had underwhelming seasons and with plenty of veterans on their squads who makes a push and who sells?

Irf Gaffar from the DFO Rundown Insider Edition joins the show for the All 32 discussing all things Canucks. We’ll dive into the franchise worst losing streak, the aftermath of the Kiefer Sherwood trade, Elias Pettersson, and other potential trade pieces.

  • Canucks Ship Sherwood To San Jose
    Jan 20 2026

Welcome to Daily Faceoff Live with Tyler Yaremchuk and Carter Hutton!

We start the show with the San Jose Sharks’ acquisition of Vancouver forward Kiefer Sherwood. As David Pagnotta said yesterday on the show the price had dropped and it was imminent for a Sherwood trade, and not long after the show the NHL hits leader was shipped to San Jose for two seconds and undrafted defenceman Cole Clayton.

It was an eventful return for Matthew Tkachuk as the San Jose Sharks came into Sunrise and punched the Panthers in the mouth in a 4-1 defeat. Alex Nedeljkovic and Sergei Bobrovsky got into a rare goalie fight and Ned had the fists flying after a questionable hit on a Sharks defender.

Is 2000 the new 1000? Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, and Connor McDavid have all breezed past the 1k point plateau, but can these superstars hit 2k total points by the time they finish their careers?

Jeff Marek from The Sheet joins the show to discuss the streaking Sharks, the disaster in Ottawa’s crease, and is San Jose a buyer?

  • Vegas Lands Rasmus Andersson in Trade With Flames
    Jan 19 2026

Welcome to Daily Faceoff Live with Tyler Yaremchuk and Carter Hutton!

We start the show with the Vegas Golden Knights picking up one of the biggest trade pieces on the market. On a seven-game winning streak the Golden Knights added more talent to their roster bringing in Flames defender Rasmus Andersson. At 50% retained did Vegas pull off a massive win here?

Next, it’s the Man of the Weekend segment. Multiple hat-tricks highlight this week’s edition with one coming from a division leader and the other in a game that toppled the top team in the Central.

Jake Sanderson was visibly upset with the goaltending situation in Ottawa over the weekend calling out young netminder Leevi Merilainen. The Sens got a 30 save performance out of James Reimer the next night but still fell in overtime. Can the return of Linus Ullmark fix Ottawa’s goaltending woes.

David Pagnotta from the Fourth Period joins the show to give the insider scoop on trades and rumours around the league. He’ll discuss the Andersson to Vegas trade, how close another team came to getting the Flames defender, and pieces in Vancouver that look primed to be moved.
