Christianity in America today is in danger of being consumer based. Church Shopping can become a way of life and can rob you of the real power of living in community with others. Let's explore a little bit of the dangers of this self-serving approach to "doing church" and some of the deep meaningful blessings we can miss out on.

We can study the original languages, Greek and Hebrew, that our Bibles were written in. And that has value in it. But there is another kind of discovery of scripture. We mustn't forget that the men and women who wrote down their experiences and lived encounters with God were real people. When you live similar experiences as to what they wrote about then scripture comes alive in a different way.
