A proposito di questo titolo
We are dads and brothers who love to fly fish. We're trying to tackle parenting and family in the same way we tackle our beloved fly fishing hobby: we're figuring it out as we go along. We talk about faith, family, fishing, and the intermingling of it all.Dads On The Fly

    Nov 4 2026

We're back for Part 2 of our conversations from the Rise Fish Festival!

Joshua continues meeting some of the incredible people who make up the outdoor community in Western North Carolina. This time around, he chats with Miller Watson from Hunter Banks, Joanna Brown from the Outdoor Business Alliance of Western North Carolina, and Ben Colonnese from Fixed Line Appalachia.

He also brings the family into the conversation with Laura, Foster, and Corbin, before wrapping things up with Shelton Steele from Wrong Way Campground and Kelsey Burrow from Rise Fish Fest.

From fly fishing and outdoor businesses to family adventures, conservation, and the people working to grow the outdoor community in our backyard, this episode is a reminder that it's about so much more than just catching fish.

  • 193. Saltwater Fishing & the Captain’s Life with Kyle Graves
    Oct 7 2026

Kyle Graves of Salty Graves Guide Service is the kind of captain who knows a great day of fishing is about more than just catching fish. He’s an entertainer, a storyteller, and a guy who has turned his passion for fishing into the dream of becoming a captain.

We talk with Kyle about saltwater fishing around Palm Coast, Florida, what it takes to create an unforgettable day on the boat, and why keeping people laughing and having fun is just as important as putting fish in the boat.

But one of the best parts of Kyle’s story is happening off the water. He’s chasing a dream while his daughter gets to watch it happen and see firsthand what it looks like when her dad goes after something he truly loves.

It’s a conversation about fishing, chasing dreams, being a dad, and making the most of every day on the water.
