A proposito di questo titolo
Losing a loved one is never easy. Losing a child is another level of grief in my opinion. We expect to out-live our children, so when they leave before us it is hard to comprehend. Talking about infant loss and miscarriages were always taboo, but recently our society has taken a stance on speaking out. Speaking about losing your child can be healing for yourself as well as for someone else going through the same pain. Healing is never easy after trauma, but I've learned through my own pain that talking about it helps my heart. When we do hear about loss of someone's child it typically is the mother speaking out.
This time around we have our Special Guest Kris. Kris takes us on his personal journey of losing his daughter. A listener who recently experiences losing their first child reaches out for advice. Dads have different roles than moms, but their heart and love for their child is just as strong. Listen in as Kris shares his journey with us on how he coped, how he felt, and how he is doing today after his loss.
If you or someone you love is experiencing a loss of a child, please reach out to them. Even if you don't know the words to say, just check in on them to let them know you're available.
You can also reach out to groups to talk with other parents that know your pain. Check out: https://www.postpartum.net/get-help/loss-grief-in-pregnancy-postpartum/This site helps you get connected with groups and services to assist you through this pain.
You're never alone!
