Norman is also joined also joined by former police Detective Supt George Barnsley of the Lanarkshire Police Historical Society. Adrian and other members of his family have been campaigning since then for his bravery to be recognised with some form of official governmental bravery award. However successive governments have refused saying any award is subject to a five year timebar.
