  • MURDERED IN MEXICO: THE KIARA AGNEW CASE
    Feb 18 2026

The Kiara Agnew case is one of the most tragic Canadian true crime stories, involving a Canadian woman killed in Mexico while traveling with her boyfriend. In this episode, we examine what happened to Kiara Agnew at a luxury Mexican resort, where she was killed just hours after arriving, leaving her family in Canada searching for answers.

Using details primarily from a recent W5 episode, "If I'm Ever Found Dead", we break down the Kiara Agnew murder case, the alleged relationship history leading up to her death, the crime scene, and the immediate aftermath — including the trial of the prime suspect: Kiara's boyfriend Ryan Friesen. With many unanswered questions, we explore conflicting accounts and the shocking verdict.

Kiara's murder has deeply divided her family, with some believing Ryan is innocent and others convinced he is guilty. This episode focuses on the unanswered questions, the emotional impact, and the ongoing fight to ensure Kiara's story is heard.

  • THE UNSOLVED CHELSEA POORMAN CASE
    Feb 11 2026

In September 2020, 24-year-old Chelsea Poorman went missing from Vancouver, Canada. Last seen in the early morning hours on Granville Street, Chelsea disappeared without a trace. Her family reported her missing two days later, launching a search that would stretch on for nearly nineteen months.

In April 2022, contractors made a shocking discovery: Chelsea’s skeletal remains were found in the backyard of a long-vacant mansion in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy neighbourhood. Police later stated her death was “not suspicious,” suggesting she likely died shortly after her disappearance. But for Chelsea’s family and Indigenous advocates, that conclusion only deepened the mystery. How did Chelsea—who lived with cognitive and mobility challenges—end up behind a locked, abandoned property blocks away from where she was last seen? And how could she have remained undiscovered for so long?

In this episode, we walk through Chelsea Poorman’s disappearance, the controversial investigation that followed, and the unanswered questions that continue to haunt her case—while examining the broader systemic failures surrounding missing Indigenous women in Canada, and the ongoing fight for accountability and justice.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-3321.

  • THE TROMP FAMILY MYSTERY
    Feb 4 2026

When the Tromp family abruptly flees their quiet rural home in Australia on August 29, 2016, it sets off one of the most disturbing and perplexing cases the country has ever known. Less than 24 hours later, police receive a chilling late-night call: a young woman has been found barely conscious in the back of a stranger’s truck. She’s nearly catatonic, unable to say who she is or how she got there—until authorities identify her as 29-year-old Riana Tromp. How does someone go from fleeing with her family to being found in that state hundreds of kilometers away just a day later? And where was the rest of her family?

In this episode, we trace the eerie and unsettling timeline of the Tromp family’s disappearance, exploring how fear and paranoia appeared to take hold and drive a series of decisions that defy explanation.
